About Us
Jan and Carey Cook, a husband and wife team, founded myvocabulary.com in 1997 with the goal of improving literacy and vocabulary mastery.
With Jan’s background as a high school teacher and Carey’s passion for Latin and Greek word origins, they expanded their content to over 2,500 pages of puzzles, word games, 755 word lists, and 100 themed puzzles.
Their website serves diverse learners, offering simple word search puzzles, fill-in-the-blanks, crossword puzzles, and challenging SAT/ACT vocabulary exercises.
They also provide monthly E-Newsletters about new content and share syndicated puzzles with USA Today Online.
